Novelty & Vintage Pencils

During the mid-20th century the idea of using pencils for advertising caught on and the range of pencil designs exploded. At one time I had a few hundred of these but I've only kept a few as my other collections grew. I just couldn't part with some of the more interesting & fun ones. I've also retained a few Parker pencils from a previous collection.

Pencil has a logo of an old bulldozer on it with the phone number 975, and was advertising for Hill and Fox, General Contractors, phone 975 in Bridgeton, N.J. Peephole at top of pencil shows a young woman stripping to her bathing suit. A little naughtiness in the construction trade in the 50's? Who'd of guessed?

Pencil Cigarette Holder

Matching enamel pencil & cigarette holder. This is an excellent matched set of mechanical pencil and cigarette holder. All enamel is in perfect condition; no chipping or missing flowers. The pencil cap is marked "Sterling Germany". The cigarette holder tip is likely bone.
