S. Mordan & Co. – “S. Mordan & Co. Makers & Patentees”

Early Mordan slider pencil in near mint condition. The makers imprint is crisp and clear. The “S. Mordan & Co Makers & Patentees” on the barrel dates this pencil to one of the earliest Mordan’s, between 1830 and 1845. It has a barley corn pattern on the barrel and does not have a finial/cap (unusual for these earlier ones). In full working condition.
