Stephen Houghton & Son – Sovereign Scales – SOLD

Beautiful brass folding pocket sovereign scales in a mahogany box. Made by Stephen Houghton & Son. Likely early to mid-1800’s. In excellent condition. Box contains original instructions. It expands and retracts perfectly & automatically as the box is opened/closed. I purchased this one simply due to its cleverly simple design and overall beauty; nothing to do with writing!
