Leroy Fairchild – Niello

Niello style Fairchild pencil. Beautiful hand engraving of vines & flowers on barrel. In perfect working condition; no dents, no damage works ok. Inside barrel is engraved “Pat. March 21, ’71” and “Fairchild”. Rather odd that Fairchild would include this patent date as the March 21, 1871 patent belongs to W.W. Hicks for his magic pencil design. Fully extended this pencil measures 5″ including the ring.
