Aikin Lambert? – Sea Bean Pencil

After owning this for 10 years I finally discovered that it is called a “sea-bean” and that Aikin Lambert (and perhaps others?) made these novelty pencils around 1878 (see A.L. advert in pics). In perfect condition; no cracks or other damage. Mechanism is working. Extends to 5cm. More info regarding sea bean pencils can be found here.
