S. Mordan & Co. – “S. Mordan & Co. Makers & Patentees”

Early Mordan slider pencil. The “S. Mordan & Co Makers & Patentees” on the barrel dates this pencil to between 1830 and 1845.  The top is a nice variant on the onion dome style that is four sided and very crown-like. The crown unscrews to reveal 6 inner tubes for spare lead. There appears to be no dents or dings. Overall excellent condition.
