S. Mordan & Co. – Single Extension – Twist – 1856

Mordan gold extension/twist pencil. Very interesting design. The barrel extends and the lead tip is extended by twisting the knob at the end (unlike most which are “magic” style of pencils). It has the barley, line and dot patterned barrel with the design lozenge for October 8, 1856.
