Late 19th century barrel shaped travel inkwell in wood, with a bone “plug”. Wood has no splits or cracks which are often found in wooden travel inkwells due to moisture. Lid is held on with a push and twist twist style locking mechanism, with glass insert spring loaded to push against the cap. Original glass insert in excellent condition (a couple tiny chips in the rim).
