S. Mordan & Co. – “S. Mordan & Co. Makers & Patentees”

Early Mordan gold slider pencil in very good condition. No dents or dings and the makers imprint is crisp and clear.  The “S. Mordan & Co Makers & Patentees” on the barrel dates this pencil to between 1830 and 1845. The white cornelian seal has been engraved with the image of a hunting dog.
