Hard to find early Mordan fountain pen. It is the ‘Royal’ by Francis Mordan and it comes in its original box. The pen is made from chased black vulcanite and it has a 14ct gold nib. This is the actual example that is featured in the Francis Mordan book “Francis Mordan and the Everlasting Pen”, and I have included a copy of the page for reference. I have another example of this pen but it is missing the nib. It is also slightly larger in length and diameter, and the barrel design pattern is different as well. This pen is very good condition, there are no splits or cracks anywhere, and the nomenclature is clear.
