S. Mordan & Co. – “S. Mordan & Co. Makers” – 1859

Early Mordan slider. It has the maker’s name “S. Mordan & Co. Makers” on it which indicates 1845-1852 manufacture date range, and there is also a person’s name and date “J. Pearle 1859”. Mechanism works fine. Light wear for pencil of this age. Yellow stone in cap. The cap removes to show 7 cylinders for storing spare leads.
