Kurtz & Monaghan – Goodyears Patent – Red BHR

Rare combination made by Kurtz & Monaghan of New York around 1860. In addition to the K&M name stamped on the barrel, it is also stamped “Goodyears Pat May 6 51”. The orange/red colour of the rubber is rare and this is compounded by the scarcity of K&M pen/pencils. The nib is a replacement. For more information on pencils with Goodyear casings click here.
